Hiking & Rock Climbing

There are hundreds of miles of hiking trails within the City of Rocks National Reserve and Castle Rocks State Park, and the granite is internationally renowned among climbers. There are over 600 routes here, both traditional and sport.

Hot Springs

Durfee Hot Springs and swimming resort, a natural spring of warm water (about 104 degrees) is a favorite soaking and swimming spot in Almo for visitors locally as well as internationally. The perfect place to unwind!

Sightseeing, History, & Culture

Breathtaking views, beautiful local plants and wildlife, unbelievable granite formations, and an area rich in history. Your biggest challenge will be figuring out which of your photos will be best to share!

Off-Roading, Biking, & Horseback Riding

Take in the spectacular scenery on trails built for all skill levels. Most of the trails are multi-use and allow for horses, bikes and off-roading.

Hunting & Fishing

Castle Rocks State Park has a 2.6 acre fishing pond stocked with Rainbow Trout. Hunting is allowed both in City of Rocks National Reserve and the Castle Rocks State Park.

Stargazing

An entirely new world opens up to you once the sun goes down. With no light pollution, our property is an incredibly special place to experience the night sky.

The Outpost Steakhouse, Rock City Pizza, and Tracy General Store are all a couple minutes away with amazing and varied options for dining out. Nothing beats a juicy steak after a long day!
